Miranda Lambert followed up her win for Album of the Year with the 2012 ACM Award for Female Vocalist of the Year. Congrats, Miranda. It’s shaping up to be your night.

Lambert, who emerged from the backstage area to accept her trophy as she was preparing to perform, took the podium to say, “I can’t believe. I am so humbled. I don’t know what to say…Thank you Jesus for giving me this gift I can share with all of my fans, that’s what I’ve got to say.”

She looked stunning in a floor-length black gown with a strapless and form-fitting leather bodice and a blinged-out silver necklace. Lambert also took a moment to give a heartfelt shoutout to the genre in general, saying, “I am such a country fan. I am so proud of us.” Can we get a “Woo hoo?” It was a sweet moment where she sent out her love to all of her peers and supporters.

It’s worth mentioning that always hilarious actor Ashton Kutcher presented Lambert with the award. He was dressed in full on country attire, which consisted of a bright red blazer with piping, a black cowboy hat and a huge statement-making belt buckle. Let’s just say that Kutcher dressed the part. But he didn’t merely throw on some duds and pretend to be country. He actually sang a few bars of George Strait‘s ‘I Cross My Heart’ as a consolation to the women who were going to lose the award he was about to present, since there can only be one winner. Nice touch, Ashton!

Kutcher was also flanked by his beer-swilling “band,” noting that country artists never forget their players, backup and beyond.
