Director Michael Bay has promised that 'Transformers 4' (which we still can't believe isn't called 'Tr4snformers') will take the series in a new direction and the casting shows that he isn't kidding. Gone are Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox, in are Mark Wahlberg and the previously rumored but now confirmedĀ Nicola Peltz.
When Megan Fox left 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon,' it seemed that her relationship with director Michael Bay (who she jokingly refered to as Hitler) was over and the two would never work together again. But now Bay has announced that Fox is joining his 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' reboot.
Well, 'Transformers 4' is happening and Michael Bay is directing it and there's nothing the franchise's detractors can do stop it. All anyone can do now is wonder how long it'll take them to name it 'Tr4nsformers.' However, it looks like the next entry in the series will be a completely different experience...at least that's what Bay is saying.
'Transformers 4' is happening and while we don't know much about the film, we do know this much: it will be directed by Michael Bay, hence it will star a hot young girl. In previous installments it was Megan Fox or Isabel Lucas or Rosie Huntington-Whiteley but with an all new cast lined up for 'Transformers 4' (headed by Mark Wahlberg), Bay is out searched for fresh blood. So what girls does he have in his sights?
So much of the scuttlebutt around movies is usually half-truths. Three weeks ago we reported that Mark Wahlberg might be up for 'Transformers 4.' The next day it was denied. But now it looks like Wahlberg has been confirmed for the movie by the director himself.
Michael Bay played footsies for a while with doing more 'Transformers' movies, but has signed up for a fourth film, because... well, money. Lots and lots of it. Bay earned $80 Million from the first film (which is the lowest grossing film of the franchise), and gets 8% of the merchandising money, so it's safe to assume that he makes over $100 Million a sequel. But it looks like he's bringing in a new lead.
Everybody has asked the question "Why was Megan Fox fired from the movie Transformers?"
