Larry and Kelcie were in love from the beginning in high school. They were inseparable, and Larry wanted nothing more to propose to the love of his life.

Then everything changed.

A week before a group vacation to Disneyland, Larry showed Kelcie's sister the ring he bought for Kelcie and told her he was going to propose at Disneyland. That same night, Larry was hit by a drunk driver and was in a coma.

He remained in a coma for several months before finally waking up. More than three years later, Larry is wheelchair-bound and different from the person Kelcie knew. But she remained by his side the entire time in the hospital and through every step of his recovery process.

Larry's progress has been outstanding, and he finally got to pop the big question.

He couldn't do it at Disneyland like he originally planned, but Larry used the same ring he bought for Kelcie in 2010. And with a little help from his friends and family in Corvallis, Ore., he was finally able to do what was almost taken away from him.

Thanks to some amazing people, Larry and Kelcie are going to get their trip to Disneyland. More than $27,000 was donated to the couple to have their wedding and honeymoon at the place where it was all going to begin, but now that's where Kelcie can finally say, "I do."

And today just happens to be Valentine's Day.
