Watch Monster Sand Storm Devour Lubbock Texas In 2 Minutes [VIDEO]

That’s  Amarillo dust rolling across Lubbock yesterday.  I started choking about 30 seconds into the video.  We’re used to wind gusts to 70 mph, but when you add an 8000 foot high red-dirt dust cloud, that invisible windstorm turns into an oxygen-eating red dirt monster devouring everything in its path.

Living in Amarillo, we know that the winds are going to blow eventually.  Maybe not today, maybe not tonight, but soon. Watching this video reminds me that we are all at the mercy of Mother Nature’s mood swings.

Have you ever gotten caught in a dust storm?
