After 14 seasons in the NFL, Hines Ward announced his retirement on Tuesday!

Hines Ward was drafted in the 3rd round back in 1998 by the Pittsburgh Steelers and has been there ever since. Until Tuesday, when he announced his retirement after 14 seasons with the team.

The franchise cut Ward after last season to make some salary cap adjustments, he could have went to another team but said "it wouldn't feel right" to play for another someone else. He wanted to stay loyal and retire a Steeler.

Ward helped the Steelers to three Super Bowl appearances, two of those the team was victorious in 2006 & 2009. Ward was named MVP in 2006 with their victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

Ward holds nearly all receiving records for the Steelers  including receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns.
