On April 20th, 1999 for nearly an hour the Columbine High School massacre happened in Columbine, Colorado. Two seniors went on a killing spree murdering 12 other students, 1 teacher, then killing themselves. 21 other students were injured that day including three students who were injured while trying to escape. A total of 15 people were lost that day in the worst high school massacre in American history.

But if one plot had went through the way two other High School Teenagers had planned it could have easily been far worse.

Two teenage students, 18 year-old Dallin Morgan and another 16 year-old student were arrested this morning in Roy, Utah for planning an attempt to set off explosives during a school assembly at Roy High School.  Both of the suspects were mesmerized with the Columbine shootings that happened nearly 13 years ago, but did not want to be compared to Columbine killers because they were smart enough to kill more people.

An unknown student received text messages from one of the suspects warning of what was going to happen during the school assembly:

“If I tell you one day not to go to school, make damn sure you and your brother are not there,” another message said. “I get the feeling you know what I’m planning.”

The unknown student then alerted the police what was going to happen, and the plan was foiled Wednesday morning. Police searched the suspects houses, vehicles and other locations and found maps of the school, including where the cameras in school were located and where there blind spot would be but did not find any explosives. The 2 suspects have been charged with conspiracy to possess explosives, Morgan has since been releases on $10,000 bond.

The suspects were also planning to escape by plane after the bombs were detenated. One suspect spent hours online trying to learn how to fly a plane so they could fly out of the Country to a different Country where they would not be forced to return to the U.S. The 16 year-old, who’s name will not be releases since he is a juvenile, was apparently the mastermind behind the whole ordeal. He was not known to be an outsider, but the 18 year-old Morgan was known to be a loner.

In December of last year the 16 year-old suspect made a 8.5 hour drive from Roy, Utah to Columbine, Colorado to interview the principle of Columbine High School, the school principle was told the interview was for the school newspaper.
